GREAT Power Supply Unit & exactly what I needed!

I recently puchased the RG430-S12 Unit as my computer was having problems. Occasionally, the computer would restart itself for no reason and reboot OR my computer would have a chirping noise come from the computer after a couple hours of constant use. I spoke to a friend who's knowledgeable about computers, and he advised me that my computer needed not only new PSU unit, but a more powerful one as the PSU culd not handle the amount of power to supply the computer.
After doing some research on Amazon, I found that the Rosewill RG430-S12 was exactly what I needed. Not only did it have the necessary connections for me to ue for my older parts, it also had newer connections for future upgrades for SATA drives. And on top of that, a great feature was that all of the power cord connections are fish-net wrapped in a cool black color so as to keep wiring in it's place and make it easy to organize which was better than my older stock PSU I had in my case.
Another great feature the Rosewill PSU has is that it's a 80PLUS certified. To those that don't know what that means, it's a certification meaning that not only will it provide a minimum of 80 percent power at 20 percent, 50 percent, or 100 percent of it's LOAD rating, but it also allows the Power Supply Unit to use LESS energy so a environmentally green product to useless energy and help reduce energy wastefulness. So when your computer is using less, it uses less and produces less energy waste.
The RG430-S12 unit is the lowest PSU unit that that produce for the S12 series, which is a single 12v unit. But it's way more than I needed as my computer was using an older 300w PSU. With this unit, I now have a total of a max rated 530w unit, which not only solved my problem of my computer rebooting randomly due to lack of power, but the bigger 120mm Silent Golf Fan is even quieter than my last stock PSU I had in my case, and provides a better cooling solution to my PC. I can feel the amount of waste heat pushed out of my PC computer is greater than my old PSU so I know it's keeping my PC cool and as anyone will tell you, the cooler your PC the longer it will last.
In conclusion, the Rosewill RG403-S12 was the perfect fit for my PC. It brought back life into my older PC and now if I decide to upgrade later on down the road, I can reuse the Rosewill for any future building or upgrades of my older computer!
p.s. --- before you buy any PSU always do the research and make sure that you buy the right PSU. Buying a less powerful PSU for a computer that has a lot of computer cards, graphic cards, or sound cards...you need to have the right amount of power. Just because my computer worked well with the RG430-S12, doesn't mean that it will work for every computer! Make sure to buy the right one for the job!

Outstanding Value!

I looked high and wide for a powerful power supply for a budget gaming PC build. I was looking for something powerful enough to be adaptable for future upgrades (better graphics cards namely), 80 Plus certified, 600W, with lots of connectors for under $60. I had looked at 550W from other manufacturers (Antec, Corsair, Coolermaster, Rosewill), but they were all out of my price range. I found this one on Newegg first for $60 and liked the spec, so I looked on here and found it even cheaper so I snatched it up.
The Green Series RG630-S12 is a 630W continuous rated (at 40 degrees C) power supply for 120 and 240 input. It's not huge and will fit into just about any ATX tower. It's 80 Plus certified for excellent energy efficiency and has tons of connectors, which is almost essential for any kind of decent PC build. It's got a single Golf 120 mm fan that draws air from the inside of the case and out through the top and back of the unit. The fan is VERY quiet and I can barely hear it running. My case and CPU fans are louder than the PS fan. It has overtemperature, overload and overvoltage, undervolt, and overload protection.
It's not modular (there are some other power supplies out there for around this price that are, but don't have as much output), but the cables are decently long and managed pretty nicely in mesh sleeves that keep them somewhat organized, but nowhere near as neat as a modular. Also, the cables seem a bit thin for some connections, and the 24V and 12V outputs are stiffer than they should be which made them a pain to connect to the motherboard in the case. Connectivity includes the standard 20+4-pin ATX main power cable, a 4+4-pin ATX/EPS 12V power cable (it's able to separate into 2 4-pin connectors), one 6-pin PCI-e connector and one 6+2-pin PCI-e connector for video cards so you can run CrossFireX or SLI, six 5-pin SATA connectors, six 4-pin Molex connectors, and a 4-pin floppy drive connector.
I really like the fact that this PS is so adaptable for multiple applications. The 8-pin plug makes it able to run both AMD and Intel CPU's, and could even run a server with dual CPU's (keeping them under 130W each) and several 3.5 or 2.5" hard drives or optical drives in RAID. I chose this PS specifically for future upgrades to my machine like a video card that needs two PCI-e plugs or a single 8-pin connector. You only get a single 12V rail with +3.3V at 24A (amps), +5V at 24A, +12 at 50A, -12V at 0.5A, and +5Vsb at 2.5A
I had no problems with it running my setup (as expected), Intel Core i5 3470, Galaxy GeForce GTX 650 Ti, ASUS optical drive, Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB 7200 RPM HDD, one 120 mm case fan. It's got a 100,000 hr. duty cycle and a claimed 80-85% efficiency rating, earning it the 80 Plus certification. It has a 24-month warranty as well.

So for what you get it's an awesome deal. There aren't many good power supplies that offer what the RG630 does for this cheap, so it's a bargain. Granted there's only a single 12V rail, it's not modular, and the fan does exhaust air onto some of the motherboard, but it's not a huge deal.
I strongly recommend this power supply. It's affordable, adaptable, and has lots of great features.

plenty of power at a good price.

Picked this up for $49 and I am pleased with my purchase.
I am running cross-fired 7770's in my system with no issues.
Cons: it doesn't do well coming out of sleep mode at times, but i seldom use the sleep function anyways.
