Absolutely the highest quality PSU unit on the market!
By Moar Cores
If you guys are looking for the very best PSU on the market then look no further because you have found the one. The EVGA SuperNOVA 1000WG2 is one of the best PSUs I have ever bought, it is extremely well built, super quiet, has great sleeved cables that are nice and long and can even power the most power hungry GPUs that's out there. The warranty is another great thing about this PSU because it's 10 years which is always nice because you never know what might happen in the future. I have had many products die on me a few days after the warranty expires and it's the worst thing that can happen if you invest on an expensive product such as this.
The EVGA SuperNOVA 1000WG2 really feels like a premium PSU when holding it and the materials used to make it really make the PSU stand out from the rest of the PSUs that are out there. It feels very well polished and it has a nice clean design that's not cluttered like the rest of the PSUs I have bought. There are plenty of cables in the box that are packaged quite well. I can't hear the fan spinning at all when gaming and even under full load using Prime95 which says a lot about the quality of the PSU. It has high quality Japanese capacitors unlike some PSUs out there that use cheap capacitors. There are so many cables and slots that you can use and I doubt I will ever need more than just a few.
Obviously you are paying a premium for this power supply and you are definitely getting something that's worth every penny you spend. I am more than satisfied with it and it has no problem handling my setup. Some people compare this to the Corsair HX1050 or the OCZ Z1000W but the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000WG2 feels like a much better quality PSU than both of them. I'm planning on buying another one for my second rig because I'm planning on doing a 3-way SLI GTX780s and I need the best PSU that's out there. I always trust EVGA when buying one of their products and I always recommend it all of my geeky friends that build computers almost on a weekly basis. I have always had a good experience with their GPUS and now I have fallen in love with their PSUs. I can't recommend this product enough times.
The installation process is pretty straight forward and you don't need me to explain how to install it because most of us who purchase these kinds of things are geeks and we know how this stuff works. Another thing that I love about this PSU is that it runs super cool and is whisper quiet. My old PSUs used to make loud noises but this one is inaudible. I have had many PSUs shut down on me while playing games because they would overheat but this one handles everything like a champ.
The packaging is also great and it really feels like EVGA really made sure everything was in the right place. This PSU has a nice steel handle which is cool because you can carry your PSU around if you want to try it in other computers. My previous PSUs have been noisy but this one is whisper quite. You really can't go wrong with EVGA because they are hands down the best with their products and customer support. And how can you beat a 10 year warranty?
Pros:
+10 Year Warranty
+Gold Certified
+Super Quiet
+Great Sleeved Cables
+Steel Handle Make It Look Sexy and Easy To Carry
+High amperage for even the most power hungry GPUs
+Amazing build quality
+Clean design
+Fully modular
+Great Packaging
+From EVGA
Cons:
-None
Overall, if you have the cash to spend on a truly high quality PSU then the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000WG2 is the one to get. I have been building and fixing computers for as long as I can remember and I have had a lot of experiences with other PSUs but this one really got my attention. If you are looking for something that's reliable, durable and future-proof then the SuperNOVA 1000WG2 is the PSU you should purchase. The packaging is absolutely insane and comes with a ton of cables. When holding the PSU, you can really feel the high quality materials that EVGA used to make this amazing PSU. I give it a 10/10 for the build quality, sexiness, awesome sleeved cables, warranty and many other features that it has. Strongly recommended!

Fairly affordable, great PSU!
By Kaiser Kim
EVGA has one of the best customer support out there, very close to Asus.
This power supply is great for the latest hardware. If you are not sure that 850 watts is enough for your build, you can always get 1000 to be safe.
Gold rated, really affordable, and 1000W, this is really a good bang for the buck power supply.
Comes from a great company with also a awesome 10 YEAR warranty.
You can't beat the value you get with the power supply.
Especially with that 10 year warranty, this will last you a LONG time for your future builds and upgrades.]
You want a future proof build? Well, this power supply will last you probably the same amount of years the warranty, since 1000W is plenty for the future for additional graphics cards and such!

High Powered, Smooth, Clean and Quiet!
By Chief Rocka Dr. Kool
I had a Corsair HX850 before this. I was having problems with my system with slow downs, blue screens and shut downs. I got tired of it and tried to figure out what the problem was. I then upgraded my whole system except my power supply and a few other things. I then got this EVGA power supply and things were good. However, I soon realized that my system slowed down not due to the Corsair, but due to a faulty TV Tuner card. I removed the tuner and the system is speedy!
With that said, this PSU still has better performance than the Corsair as it makes my system as powerful as it is allowed to be. I even added more RAM (32GB) so this PSU helps. I feel relief knowing that this PSU will not (has not) shut down, runs quiet, cool, clean and I can overclock my video card without a hiccup and this thing seems as if it has room to spare!
With the PC biz designing more and more components to have low power (I guess because the oil is running out), many have compromises these days. After a while, we may not get or need high powered PSUs. CPUS are slowing down and getting weaker to support lower power and many PCs or consoles are becoming centered around a GPU in order to lower power. This PUS works with everything and it does it with excellence!
My Corsair was 80Plus Silver - this one is Gold. This one has all of the latest specs, a nice box and a nice design. The ONLY thing I did not like were the peripheral cables, they were not flat but round! They should haven known better than to make them round and not flat. I was just able to get my case to shut. Good thing I just bought a full tower! They should have fixed that. One other thing is the SATA cables could have been a few more, but I had just enough. Yeah, you can use adapters for the molex, but the Corsair did not have too.
At the price that I got this for on Amazon along with free shipping and the rebate (which seems like it took years), this was a deal I could not pass up! I don't have Crossfire or SLI, but at least I know if I wanted that option, this can more than handle it.
